The Sheffield Festival Centre is a 30,000 sq. ft. media centre and creative work space building that occupies a key gateway site to the Sheffield city centre. We were one of six finalists in the RIBA organized, open, international design competition.


Project: Scion 'Storefront' Showroom

The Scion 'Storefront' Showroom is a 500sf customer experience environment prototype. The environment is the main sales and customer interface for the Scion brand within Toyota dealerships.


Project: Mei Menachem Mikvah

Description: Jewish Ritual Bath
Client: Park Slope Congregation

The Mikvah is an orthodox Jewish ritual bath building. The Mikvah ritual entails step-by-step detailed preparation, and in this case, the movement through the building becomes part of the preparation and the ritual, and enhances the experience.

 OfficeWare is a new hybrid EXPERIENCE-PRODUCT-ENVIRONMENT. Its main product is the creation of a new work STYLE that is the result of a precise relationship of work TOOLS and work SPACE.

Project: Jusco Shopping Center

Jusco is a new kind of shopping center, focused on the needs of a younger, more media-savvy consumer group, it creates a better environment to engage the marketplace, be entertained and build COMMUNITY.

Project: Max House

The Max house is an 8000 sq. ft. house designed for fashion designers Leon Max and Ame Austin for a hillside site in Los Angeles.

Project: Masquerade Films/Benard+Pearson loft

Description: loft addition to a 1000 sq. ft. live/work studio

The Masquerade Films project involved the design and fabrication of a translucent cast resin floor for the loft of a live/work studio space in Vancouver, Canada.

Project: Nettwerk Productions

Description: 10,000 sq. ft. head office for an independant record label

The Nettwerk Productions project is a 10,000 sq. ft. facility that is comprised of office space, mail order department, kitchen, a staff lounge and coffee bar, a small retail store, and a reception/waiting area.

Project: Virgin Digital / Lost Boys Studios

Description: 1500 sq. ft. visual effects studio

The Virgin Digital/Lost Boys Studios project is a 1500 sq. ft. visual effects studio with a digital, 3D animation studio, a compositing suite, a lounge and screening area, a kitchen and bar, and a reception/waiting area.

The Shin-Yokohama Clock Competition was a limited competition won by Design Office in the fall of 1999.
